DRA is a research ensemble for contemporary music that focuses on the criticism of rhythm. In its 26 years of work, DRA has created a significant and iconic body of work that has been and continues to be intensely discussed in the music world. According to the American composer George Lewis, DRA presents a “unique blend of composition, improvisation, communication and complex metric modulations that reflect its deep engagement with organizational studies.”
