“With Radical Landscape, the exclusive artist’s label edition niehler werft is presenting the first release of 4bad3rds, the unique collaboration between the experimental composer-performer-producer duo Christopher Dell and Luka Höfler (aka Elfish Echo aka Lu Katavist). 

What are the differences and similarities between instrumental and electronic sound, between oscillations generated by distorted vibraphone structures and electronically controlled modulations? What sonicscape emerges when both sound sources superimpose, interact, translate, and rewire? On Radical Landscape, the composer-performers Christopher Dell and Luka Höfler work with various equipment to explore this intriguing concept. 

 

Mit Radical Landscape präsentiert das exklusive Künstlerlabel edition niehler werft die erste Veröffentlichung von 4bad3rds, der einzigartigen Zusammenarbeit des experimentellen Komponisten-Performer-Produzenten-Duos Christopher Dell und Luka Höfler (aka Elfish Echo aka Lu Katavist). Welche Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten gibt es zwischen instrumentalen und elektronischen Klängen, zwischen Schwingungen, die von verzerrten Vibraphonstrukturen erzeugt werden, und elektronisch gesteuerten Modulationen? Welche Klanglandschaft entsteht, wenn sich beide Klangquellen überlagern, interagieren, übersetzen und neu verdrahten?
